Life isn’t fair, so don’t expect it to be.
“Baseball is a lot like life. The line drives are caught;
the squibbles go for base hits. It’s an unfair game.” Rod Kanehl
In a perfect world, everyone would be kind and generous,
natural disasters would be unheard of… and pizza would be free (ok chicken wings would be free!). In our broken world, sin has affected everything; the
beautiful, perfect paradise that exists is tainted. When we accept that life
isn’t fair, we lose our sense of entitlement. When we quit thinking that maybe
this time things will go our way, we remove ourselves from the false belief
that the world revolves around us. Don’t expect life to be fair. Instead, be
ready to forgive when people fail you, to help when disaster strikes, and to
love unconditionally.
